BMW India has launched the BMW 6 Series GT facelift in India at a price starting at Rs 67.90 lakh. The locally produced 6 Series GT is available with either gasoline or diesel engines: the 630i at Rs 67.90 lakh, the 620d Luxury Line at Rs 68.90 lakh and the 630d M Sport at Rs 77.90 lakh (all prices are introductory, before the exhibition room). Maintenance packages range from 2 years / 40,000 km to 10 years / 2 lakh kilometers, and the price starts at approximately Rs 52,000. In addition, secured buyback plans are also available, and online bookings made before the end of April will get free BMW Accessories and Lifestyle Collection products worth Rs 1.5 lakh, covering the BMW Display key, headphones for the package of rear seat entertainment and more.
New paint options on the 2021 Series 6 include Tanzanite Blue Metallic, Phytonic Blue Metallic, Piemont Red Metallic, and Bernina Amber Gray, in addition to previously available shades. A new Carbon Black shade is available exclusively with the M Sport package.
The 2021 6 Series GT includes significant styling modifications to the front, with a larger grille, revised hood, bumpers and headlights that are now also available with BMW’s Adaptive LED Laserlight lighting. The rear updates extend to a revised LED light detailing the taillights, a new bumper, and dual trapezoidal tailpipe outlets. The M Sport variants have trim details finished in high-gloss black, rather than chrome, as in the Luxury line. New wheel designs are also available and range from 18-inch on the Luxury line to 19-inch designs on the M Sport variant, up to an optional 20-inch, with a choice of blue or red brake calipers on the M Sport brakes. . In addition, BMW Retrofit Sports brakes with ventilated rotors and four-piston calipers at the front and single-piston floating calipers at the rear are available to order from the catalog.
In terms of customization, between the 620d GT Luxury Line, 630i GT M Sport and 630d GT M Sport, up to eight options of leather upholstery and two interior wood finishes are available, with Nappa leather upholstery exclusive to this latest. The GT 6 Series list of features includes four-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, power rear blinds, reclining rear seat, twin 10.2-inch screens in the rear as part of the professional entertainment package in the rear seat, Harman Kardon 16- audio speaker, soft-close doors and more.
In terms of powertrain specifications, the BMW 630i GT M Sport is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque, good for a 0-100 km / h race in 6.5 seconds. . The 2.0-liter diesel in the 620d GT produces 190 hp and 400 Nm, with a 0-100 km / h figure in 7.9 seconds.
