Robothon® - The Big Challenge 2021 goes digital!

Factory Automation Systems Joins Veo as Its Second Certified Systems Integrator

Veo Robotics, Inc., an industrial automation company that builds technology to make robots responsive to humans, announced today that its flagship product FreeMove® has received safety certification from TÜV Rheinland for its industrial robot protection system, making it the first of a kind solution for human-robot collaboration. FreeMove is the only solution on the market today that implements dynamic 3D speed and separation monitoring and has been certified to comply with ISO 13849 for PLd, Category 3. It is now available for purchase.

“This is a game changer for human-robot interaction in industrial settings and a great achievement for the team,” said Veo Robotics CEO and Co-Founder Patrick Sobalvarro. “After spending the last four years visiting factories, working with our manufacturing customers and building FreeMove, we are delighted to be able to offer the fully safety certified system.”

Additionally, Atlanta-based Factory Automation Systems (FAS) has joined Veo’s Certified System Integrator program. FAS is an industry veteran of nearly 30 years who specializes in creating custom turnkey solutions. FAS will include FreeMove® as part of its offering of security solutions for customers.

“FreeMove from Veo Robotics is the first protection system of its kind that meets a need in the industrial robotics industry,” said Mark Ligler, vice president of FAS. “We are excited to partner with Veo and offer FreeMove as part of our security solution.”
